Security today has become an indispensable part in today's age. The sector is quite booming in the recent times and majority of the sectors ranging from retail to hospitality and many others need compliance for security. Thus, a security guard is an armed/unarmed individual which ensures protection of the assets ranging from human lives to physical property from criminal activities. Since they are employed to make sure of the safety, they are given rigorous training so that they can best cater to their responsibilities. Our company strictly follows the general requirement procedures (based on international standards) and strict interviewing procedures to recruit one of the best and most efficient personnel in the industry.

The standard of recruitment is as follows –

  • Age: Candidate must be at least 21 years of age and maximum be 40 years.
  • Height: We select only those candidates who are minimum 5'7" or above.
  • Eye Sight: The eyesight should b 6 X 6.
  • Physique: Candidate must be in excellent physical shape.
  • Education: Candidate must possess a minimum of matriculate certificate. Also, the applicant should have an ability to read, write and speak English and the language(s) most appropriate to his or her assigned duties.
  • Criminal History: We duly check the candidate's background for if the person has a clean record and is free from any job related crime. Any felony conviction discovered in the course of conducting the search should also be considered relevant to the candidate's qualifications for the position.
  • Experience: We prefer those applications that have some experience in this security industry.

This, a candidate has to fully comply with the set strict parameters. Once, they get through this, they are qualified for induction. After induction, each security guard has to undergo rigorous training which can be categorized into 'basic' and 'on-the job'. These courses prepare them for top performance at their position, and provide a wide and wise vision of an area, much better than that of citizens and average security guards.

In the basic training, the security guards are made familiar with their service conditions, uniforms and equipment. This is followed by a brief introduction about the code of conduct to be followed by each security guard.

Other aspects in a basic training includes –

  • Drill movements at regular intervals Services
  • Fire fighting and first-aid methods
  • Gate duties
  • Physique: Candidate must be in excellent physical shape.
  • Ensuring proper documentation at the gate or reception
  • Basic telephone duties and mannerisms
  • Good and friendly conduct with staff and visitors
  • Escorting the VIPs
  • Search and frisking of persons
  • Personal hygiene and essential housekeeping duties
  • Car parking and traffic control and much more.

Whereas in the on-the job training, there is a session of about 30-40minutes in a week to make the guard aware of ON JOB TRAINING at the respective site. It can also be classified under the basic and specific on-the job training procedure. In the basic on the job training, following topics will be included –

  • Control of men and material at entry and exit points
  • Issue of passes and checking of ID cards
  • Telephone manning
  • Liaison with the police, fire brigade station Training
  • Patrolling of premises and dwelling units
  • Source of theft and pilferage

Once the basic training is finished, the security guards undergo the specific on the job training which includes the following –

  • Operation of lifts, generators, ATMs, machines etc.
  • House-keeping duties
  • Telephone manning
  • Fire fighting
  • Traffic control and management during events and parties.

Both basic and on the job training given by our company is one of the best in the industry as it is according to the international standards. Apart from these two basic and on-the job training, the supervisory staff and guards are subject to an appropriate assessment and evaluation to measure the security officer. For this, they have to complete refresher training for 2 days within a span of six months. In refresher training, all the aspects of duties are revised so as to ensure that their professional level is maintained at the required level.

The daily documentation by the security guard includes the following things –

  • Daily muster roll
  • Daily occurrence book
  • Daily report book Training
  • Daily report book Training
  • Attendance sheet
  • Visitor's register
  • Vehicle movement register
  • In/out register

For a proper check on the security guards, field officers / supervisors visit the site twice a day, manager inspects once every alternate day and senior staff does inspection weekly. Surprise checks are also done and strict action is taken against any inappropriate behavior.
